yeah when young, fun overrides most coherent thought. Ive lived here in NZ for 40 years +or - and the govt would have you believe its all clean and green and always has been. in the early 70's before the "clean water act" blood and offal plus unwanted carcases were dumped into natures waste disposal [the rivers]. i was heading out for some excellent head high + waves at a river-mouth/reef break here in town when i fell flat on my face.... looking down i saw i was wrapped in a long rope of sheep intestines.... lesson learned, "always look where you are stepping when crossing the river and not on perfect empty peelers" another was " try to take a young boogie boarder along to show them the beauty of the ocean" that and the fact there were heaps of sharks around because of all the crap in the water and someone slower to run interference seemed a goods idea.

A man who called us today about our Baja sea kayak tours said someone from your shop referred him to us. We thank you! We'd love to have your store staff come and join us in Loreto, Baja - cheers, Nancy Mertz

anybody remember or score the waves in oceano when they had the crawler rig there [mid 80's i think]. it was installing the storm water/ sewer pipe out to sea. a very narrow pier like structure but it disturbed the sand enough to create xlnt bars either side of it. i only got a few days as i was headed out of country. just remember perfect typical morning glass and uncrowded waves though it wasnt all that big... anyone ride it with size???

mike... yeah i guess it was a bit of a mess out there... it had settled by the time we arrived but it was still pretty crunchy to walk on.... i got a puncture in my foot but the water was so cold i couldnt feel it til i got home. but the waves were sweet.... no denying that. during the same storm rincon got trashed with a huge bar from the rivermouth.... took a few swells to wash it away but with all that sand there were xlnt barrels thru spring.
